An inari shrine is a shrine to worship 'Inari,' the god of great grain and bean harvest and business prosperity, typically having red torii (or Japanese shrine gateways) and fox statues. Out of 30 thousand inari shrines all over Japan, Yutoku Inari Shrine is recognized as one of the three greatest inari shrines. It has been one of the representative tourist spots of Saga Prefecture since the old days, and about three million people visit it each year.
