At Kashima Roadside Station, you can enjoy playing on the mud flat from April to October. The 'mini Gatalympic' course in which you can enjoy part of the Gatalympic Games offers original gold, silver, and bronze medals. 'The Trial Course' in which you can play freely is also offered. The facility is equipped with a warm water shower and a dressing room so you can get covered in mud to your heart's content.
Furthermore, there is also a course in which you can experience a traditional fishing method called 'tana jibu' at high tide as well as a course in which you can experience another fishing method, one for catching mudskippers, called 'mutsukake' by learning from a master mutsukake fisherman.
