Kashima Sake Brewery Tourism
- Sake brewing has prospered in Kashima since the old days. There are six sake breweries here at present. Kashima's sake has been highly evaluated domestically and abroad, and it has been rated as the world's Number One.

New tourism
- Kashima is surrounded by the sea and the mountains. Here you can enjoy two kinds of tourism: green tourism which is mostly constituted by agricultural experiences plus blue tourism which is mostly constituted by fishery experiences.

Mt. Kyogatake climbing
- The mountain trail of Mt. Kyogatake, the highest mountain in Saga Prefecture, is starting from the entrance to Okuhiratani Camping Ground. A lot of people come here during the season of mountain climbing.

Sake brewery visit (tourist sake brewery)
- In Kashima, the best brewery place in Saga Prefecture, six breweries are still continuing to brew sake even today. Three of them offer brewery tours for tourists.

Guest House Minna-no-Ie (or Everyone's Home)
- Experiential guest house Minna-no-Ie or 'Everyone's Home' used to be a private house built halfway up a mountain in the Nanaura region in the early Showa period, but it has been turned into this guest house. The place is surrounded by nature, and it has a good view of the Ariake Sea. Great location.

Gibizan Park
- This is a park with an athletic field, a baseball ground, and a golf course. Because it is halfway up a slightly high mountain, the view from there is spectacular! The park is equipped with play equipment. so everyone in the family can play together.

Hot spring
- There are two hot spring facilities in the city. After a hard day of sightseeing and experiencing, you can get into a hot spring and heal your fatigue.

Funa Ichi (or crucian carp market)
- The rare market even on the nationwide level in which crucian carps to be used for the local dish funankogui (rolled kelp with a crucian carp in it) eaten on the twentieth day of the first month are sold opens on the early morning of the preceding day.

Mud flat experience
- At Kashima Roadside Station, you can enjoy playing on the mud flat from April to October. There is also a course in which you can experience a traditional fishing method called 'tana jibu' at high tide as well as a course in which you can experience 'mutsukake.'

Hatsuuma Sai (or First Horse Day Festival)
- It is a shrine festival held on the day when the Inari god is enshrined in Fushimi, Kyoto. In the precincts, local entertainments are demonstrated. The shrine is crowded with a lot of people all day.

Okino-shima Visit (Oshima-san Visit)
- A lot of ships decorated with numerous lanterns set sail for 'Oki no Shima,' shore reef off the coast of the Ariake Sea from Kashim Roadside Station as they sound the bells and drums.

Kashima Odori (or Kashima Dance)
- It is 'Kashima Issei Buryu,' 'Kashima Bushi,' and 'Kashima Kouta.' that started when people wished for recovery from the flood disaster of 1962 and everyone in the city participates in. The city is immersed in the feverish excitement and shouts of the dancers.

Kashima Traditional Entertainment Festival
- It is an event unique to Kashima which is a treasure house of traditional entertainments. Entertainments such as menburyu and shishimai (or a lion dance) which have been passed down in every part of the city and outside the city are shown in the precincts of Yutoku Inari Shrine.

Sake Brewery and Pickle Storehouse Autumn Festival
- There is an event in Hizen Hamashuku in accordance with the season of sake that has been kept over summer, 'Hiyaoroshi.' Centered around breweries, various events such as art events and music events are held.

Ohitaki (or Winter Fire Festival)
- It is a nightly Shinto ritual of Niiname-sai that has lasted for more than 300 years at Yutoku Inari Shrine. It is said that if you warm yourself at this fire, your disease is cured, and you are purified by being freed from all your sins.
